What is it?Michigan No-Fault car insurance is a set of coverages that are required to drive in our State:
This term No-Fault is used to imply that each party is entitled to coverage from their own insurance company no matter which party was at-fault in causing the accident. This did away with suing and the possibility of not collecting (speeding and sure-ing up the process). Important!Notice that Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist is not included in the required coverages- it should be. If an agency ever offers you a policy without; RUN!
Also notice that Limited Property Damage Liability (LPDL), AKA Mini-tort is not included. In good faith, you should purchase Mini-tort. This coverage covers the other person's deductible for a physical damage loss to their car if you were at fault- you would want it if they hit you, right? |
