Policies in the "Homeowners Family"
Renters Insurance:Renters policies are in the homeowners insurance family but are covered on an HO4. These can be very much like a homeowners policy except the building and detached structures are most often kept from being covered.
Seasonal Homes:Seasonal homes can be included in the homeowners insurance picture, sometimes even within your homeowners policy, which can simplify things for you!
|
Rental Homes:Rental homes, or income properties most often cannot be included in the homeowners insurance picture, unless specific endorsements are available. Check with your agent, but most often, a Dwelling Fire policy is your best choice.
Condos:Condos are in the homeowners insurance family, but because of the nature of what you actually own when you own a condo and what your liabilities are, they belong under an HO6 policy, which is specifically tailored insurance for a condo.
